Job description:
The VAMC Ralph H. Johnson Engineering Services is collaborating with OTED and the DOD SkillBridge program office to develop a VA SkillBridge program at VA RHJ Instituting an Engineering SkillBridge program at VAMC RHJ will enable VA to select, train and provide civilian job experience to transitioning Service members interested in for careers at VA. • This will fill current gaps within Engineering staffing.• SkillBridge can be fully implemented at VAMC RHJ by end of Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24); and• SkillBridge links to VA senior leadership’s national goals and strategies.Goal: Engineering Services and VAMC RHJ, to fully implement a VA SkillBridge program to train and hire transitioning Service members for the positions within Engineering Services arena.Priority Hiring Areas: Prior experience in Engineering trades; Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, Construction, Project Development, HVAC., Utility Systems Repair-Operator.
