Job description:
The Advanced Concepts Engineer role offers transitioning service members the opportunity to contribute to the design, modeling, and analysis of next-generation aircraft, weapon systems, propulsion systems, and/or structural components. This position focuses on supporting conceptual development efforts for hypersonic systems, high-speed vertical lift platforms, and low-cost UAV/UAS and weapons. Participants will work closely with engineering teams to apply digital design tools, conduct aerodynamic and structural analyses, and develop innovative solutions to address real-world challenges in defense and aerospace. Experience in defense science and technology, systems engineering, and/or test and evaluation is highly desired. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience with advanced engineering concepts, computational modeling, and simulation tools to support cutting-edge technology development. Accepted service members may work from our Dayton-area office (outside Wright-Patterson AFB, OH), completely remote (virtual), or a combination (hybrid), based on individual preference.
