Job description:
Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring and inspecting surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.Obtain help by sounding alarms and notifying emergency services personnel.Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, restraining trespassers and criminal suspects.Control traffic by directing drivers.Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing criminal suspects, victims, and witnesses, and obtaining signatures.Maintain environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.Maintain organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements and professional standards.Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Proactively patrol the mall property as instructed.Provide high visibility security performance presence to help deter criminal activity and violations of the Dimond Center Code of Conduct.Be professional by seeking to assist/interact with tenants and customers to enhance their experience while at the Dimond Center.Patrol the mall property, being alert to any hazardous or potentially harmful situations, taking not of these and advising the proper department.Respond to and investigate incidents and accidents to include medical emergencies, fires, alarms, thefts, etc. to be followed with writing detailed incident reports.Conduct preliminary criminal investigations, evidence, and crime scene preservation; assist and conduct arrests and enforcement in accordance with Anchorage Municipal Code (AMC), and all State and Federal laws.Attend and participate in all mandatory training and certification courses mandated by State and Municipal law, and Dimond Center Security policy.All other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or property management personnel.
