ThreePDS Inc. is seeking a transitioning Service member to participate in our SkillBridge Business Development program. This opportunity provides hands-on experience in business development, client relationship management, market research, sales strategy, and the recruiting, staffing, and consulting industry.The Business Development Intern will work alongside ThreePDS leadership, recruiters, and operations professionals to learn how organizations identify prospective clients, develop business relationships, uncover workforce needs, and create staffing and consulting solutions.The program is designed to translate military experience—including leadership, communication, planning, relationship management, accountability, and mission execution—into practical skills applicable to business development and corporate environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesResearch prospective clients, industries, government entities, and geographic markets to identify potential business opportunities for ThreePDS.Conduct market and competitive research to identify hiring trends, workforce needs, industry developments, and organizations that may benefit from recruiting, staffing, consulting, or workforce solutions.Build and maintain organized prospect and client information, including contact information, communication history, business needs, follow-up activity, and potential opportunities.Assist with outbound business development activities, including introductory emails, telephone outreach, LinkedIn engagement, networking, and follow-up communications.Learn how to identify key decision-makers within organizations, including Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Procurement, Operations, Finance, and executive leadership.Participate in introductory client conversations and discovery meetings to understand an organization's business challenges, hiring needs, workforce strategy, and vendor requirements.Assist in preparing company presentations, capability statements, proposals, marketing materials, and other business development communications.Support relationship-building efforts with prospective and existing clients through consistent communication and professional follow-up.Collaborate with the recruiting team to understand current job requirements, candidate availability, recruiting challenges, and market conditions that can be communicated to clients.Research local, state, federal, and commercial contracting opportunities that may align with ThreePDS capabilities.Assist with identifying supplier diversity, subcontracting, teaming, and strategic partnership opportunities.Participate in networking events, business meetings, industry associations, conferences, and other relationship-development activities when applicable.Track business development activity, leads, meetings, opportunities, and follow-up requirements to help maintain an organized sales pipeline.Prepare activity reports and business development metrics for review by company leadership
