Summary description:
The Welding program includes the following: Orientation, Safety, Symbols, Visual Inspection SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, PAC, OFC -MANUAL CAC-A. Upon completion of the training, individuals will be equipped with the knowledge skills and abilities to take the American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding (CW) examination and earn an AWS CW certification in one or more welding processes.
Job description:
AIDT is Alabama's workforce training agency for new and expanding industries. After successfully completing the defined training, graduates can potentially be hired by many different companies, too numerous to list. (i.e. Mercedes Benz OEM or its suppliers; Honda OEM or its suppliers; Hyundai OEM or its suppliers; Mazda-Toyota OEM or its suppliers; Airbus OEM; Austal USA; Polaris; etc.)
AIDT and the state of Alabama is excited to begin training veterans, military personnel separating off of active duty, and their spouses, in our high-quality Welding skills training program, and ultimately, placing these individuals in one of the many high-wage/high-demand/high-skill career opportunities in Alabama.
