GENERAL SUMMARY The Logistics Manager supports Trautman & Shreve’s mechanical construction warehouse operations by focusing on the coordination, planning, and execution of material, equipment, and workforce logistics across multiple job sites. This role is critical to ensuring projects are supplied efficiently, safely, and on schedule while maintaining cost control and operational visibility.Participants gain exposure to supply chain operations within the construction industry, supporting healthcare, institutional, commercial, and higher education projects. The track emphasizes collaboration with project teams, vendors, warehouses, and field leaders to support successful project delivery. SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Shipping, receiving, and verification of materials and equipment · Coordination and scheduling of material deliveries to jobsites, warehouses, and project locations · Safe operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment (as trained and authorized) · Operation of company delivery trucks in compliance with company policies, and safety standards · Inventory tracking, material staging, and warehouse organization · Tool crib operations, including issuing, tracking, maintaining, and returning tools and equipment · Monitoring tool condition, reporting damage or loss, and supporting tool repair or replacement processes · Equipment logistics, including scheduling, tracking, maintenance coordination, and returns · Vendor and supplier communication related to material orders, deliveries, discrepancies, and returns · Logistics planning to support project schedules and field operations · Compliance with safety standards related to transportation, material handling, storage, and tool usage · Documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement of logistics, inventory, and tool control processes · Collaboration with Project Management, Operations, Warehouse, and Field Teams to support successful project executionSPECIFIC TASKS AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES include any/all the following: · Commit to ongoing growth and learning within logistics and construction operations. · Assist with material ordering, tracking, and delivery coordination across active projects. · Maintain accurate inventory and material logs. · Support warehouse operations, including staging, labeling, and distribution of materials. · Coordinate equipment availability, rentals, and returns. · Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve delivery issues. · Support project teams by ensuring materials and equipment are available when needed. · Assist with logistics planning to minimize delays, waste, and excess costs. · Adhere to safety protocols related to material handling and transportation. · Assist in documenting logistics processes and identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.l
