If this is you, then Sagent Network Technology has a unique opportunity to help kick-start the next chapter in your professional life.Sagent Network Technology is looking for eligible military members for the DOD Skillbridge program with a Cohort Date of September 5, 2023.The position is for a Human Resource Specialist with the potential of becoming a permanent hire at the end of the cohort. The candidate will be trained for 26 weeks by a TWC (Texas Workforce Commission) licensed instructor in the Human Resources field.Sagent DoD SkillBridge program is open to all ranks, enlisted or officer. We are proud to help our nation’s service members transition from active duty to civilian life through specific industry training during the end of their service, up to 6 months. Service members will continue to receive military compensation and benefits through the Department of Defense. Upon completing the program, we aim to bring on every service member as a full-time employee.Goals- Provide transitioning service members fellowship-style job skills training during their military commitment's last portion(s). This program is specifically designed to offer internships that result in the potential to transition to a full-time opportunity at the conclusion of the training. Interns will serve as a pipeline for motivated military candidates into Sagent.
Job description:
ResponsibilitiesAssist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and dutiesAttend weekly HR classes virtuallyTrain daily with Human Resource ManagerLearn full cycle recruitingBecome familiar with ATS and HRIS systesms and processesProvide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources executivesCompile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc)Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc) and take minutesDeal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulationsAssist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc)Communicate with public services when necessaryProperly handle complaints and grievance proceduresCoordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviewsConduct initial orientation to newly hired employeesAssist our recruiters in sourcing candidates and updating our databaseMaintains HR digital files with a high degree of confidentiality.Coordinates new hire onboarding events and ensures completion.Creates termination paperwork.Sends background check authorization.Creates onboard notices for new employees.Maintains I-9 files both in paper and electronic format.Downloads and files performance reviews and onboarding documents from HRISSend benefit enrollment notifications.Assists with car allowance insurance tracking.Send exit surveys from HRIS.Creates ad hoc reports and distributes scheduled reports.Supports payroll administrator as needed.Works on special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
