Aviation Maintenance TechnicianPurpose of the role:MHIRJ’s network of service centers, support offices and parts depots are positioned in important aviation hubs in the U.S. The Aviation Maintenance Technician will perform heavy maintenance (C-Checks) on various regional jet airframes according to strict safety guidelines set by the FAA or other applicable regulatory bodies while complying with environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.

Here are the daily responsibilities of an Aviation Maintenance Technician:• Perform troubleshooting, installations, removals, and inspections on various aircraft.• General mechanical and electrical maintenance and complex repairs on aircraft structures and systems.• Consult maintenance blueprints, manuals, and other documents to assist with troubleshooting and repairs.• Complete tasks within allotted time frames in accordance with FAA (or equivalent) and company standards.• Perform all assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner.• Operate ground support equipment as required.Here is what is required to succeed:• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License or progress towards acquiring.• Minimum of 3 years’ work experience as an Aircraft Technician (preferred)• MRO experience, CRJ airframe experience and/or Military aircraft maintenance experience (Depot/Isochronal/Phase inspections) are a plus.• Possess (basic) set of tools.• Strong troubleshooting skills.• Comfortable working with technology / entering aircraft maintenance actions into a computer-based system.• Ability to effectively communicate aircraft maintenance actions both verbally and in writing.Work Environment:We put safety first and take pride in creating workspaces that invite collaboration and innovation.• Our Service Centers are world-class, and our technicians work in climate-controlled hangars that are clean, comfortable, and promote safety.• Position requires full-time presence at our Tucson, Arizona facility with on-site collaboration essential to role success• Must be comfortable with shift work; we are a 24/7 operation with 12-hour shifts which include days, nights, and weekends.

This SkillBridge program provides transitioning service members with hands-on training in a commercial aviation Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environment.
