Train with the network infrastructure team using the experience and skills gained in the service to expand their knowledge on network engineering, programming switches, routers, and firewalls, and terminating copper and fiber cabling to prepare him for a career path in Information Technology. May be required to lift items and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. A team lift procedure will be used for heavy equipment or items. May be required to work in cramped or small spaces for short periods of time. Will not be required or permitted to work or train in building's or surrounding areas under working conditions which are unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous to their health or safety. Will be provided with appropriate safety training and equipment when required. Furthermore, and most important, interns will be allotted time to make sure their transition is as smooth as possible. This is the greatest value that Synergy ECP can offer them. Interns will have time to focus on post-military career e.g., resume writing, virtual career fairs, webinars, job hunting, interviewing techniques, etc. The purpose of the SkillBridge Program is to assist in the service members' transition; however, it is Synergy's purpose to do any and everything that we can do to make sure the intern is set up post-military.
