DMI Medical Skill bridge training program: Medical Gas Field Service Technician Field Service Technician job description: Inspecting medical gas systems including vacuum pumps, air compressors and gas manifolds. You will be asked to: 1) Learn applicable NFPA-99 and ASSE 6000 codes and keep current on each. 2) Learn Equipment system design to recognize operational problems. 3) Must be able to attain an ASSE 6030 verifier credential; a two year process. 4) Read drawings to understand new and renovated construction sites. 5) Use Company provided testing equipment to determine concentration, pressure and flow rates of medical gas outlets. 6) Test area and master alarms. 7) Test & inspect compressor, vacuum and pneumatic systems. 8) Inspect installations for design compliance with codes. 9) Record data and write reports on you inspection results. 10) Get cooperation from customers and contractors to complete the inspection. Medical Gas Repair Technician -Primary Responsibilities You will be asked to: 1) Learn different compressor and vacuum technologies and how to field repair them. 2) Understand and repair pneumatic systems including manifolds, bulk & micro bulk systems and control panels. This includes following vendor recommendations on repair when required. 3) Perform preventative maintenance on compressor, vacuum and manifold systems. 4) Rebuild medical gas outlets. 5) Land wiring, program and test area and master alarm panels. 6) Onsite troubleshooting of problems to complete the job. 7) Record data and write reports on you work. 8) Get cooperation from customers and vendors. 9) Provide Customer training on product operation and maintenance, when asked. Description of desired individual APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: Science/Engineering Related BS Degree or equivalent experience Experience working on and repairing pneumatic equipment Ability to understand/use simple math and physics Good computer skills Good memory Good work ethic Clean drug screening and background (we check both) We look for fast learners with mechanical aptitude.
