The Project Manager SkillBridge program provides transitioning service members with training and exposure to project management practices within a defense manufacturing environment. Participants will develop the knowledge and skills to plan, coordinate, and control project execution across schedule, cost, and technical requirements while supporting cross-functional teams and customer deliverables. This program is designed to build foundational capability in project controls, risk management, stakeholder communication, and program execution, with opportunities across multiple U.S locations based on business needs.
Job description:
As a project manager, you are responsible for planning, executing, and controlling assigned projects within a defense manufacturing environment to ensure technical, cost, schedule, and quality objectives are achieved. This role serves as the primary point of contact for project-related communications and coordinates cross-functional activities across engineering, manufacturing, planning, quality assurance, contracts, finance, sourcing, and suppliers. You'll operate within established organizational frameworks while exercising sound judgment in managing ambiguity, risk, and evolving project requirements. Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred, Business Administration, or equivalent will be consideredFive 5+ years of related experience in Project management or project leadership experienceExperience with Microsoft Project and ERP SystemsPreferred Project Management Professional Certification. (PMP)Excellent organization, communication (written and oral), and presentation skills.
