Job description:
Coordinate with the training office to arrange a schedule to facilitate operations, aircrew qualifications, upgrades, and continuation training accomplishment to meet required currency and progression standards, IAW squadron priorities.Build long- and short-range shift schedules to ensure full coverage of all aircrew, instructor, evaluator, support personnel, and supervisor positions.Coordinate with senior squadron leadership on a daily and weekly basis. Coordinate with simulator contractors as required for simulator events.Track crewmember leave, temporary duty, scheduled medical appointments or other scheduling commitments and coordinate with flight leadership to ensure crew members are available to meet assigned sortie taskings.Track daily flight, ground, and academic training requirements to facilitate accurate flight scheduling in support of the operations officer. Facilitate last-minute schedule changes to ensure full coverage by working with the current mission commander/operations supervisor to ensure the flight schedule is fully manned.Publish/post scheduling data for unit long-/short-range ground/academic, flying, and simulator training event schedules on computer database systems.Comply with locally developed guidance when building schedules.Perform daily updates of scheduling data to compensate for changing conditions and training completion rates.Coordinate with outside agencies/exercise participants to facilitate exercise and special event schedules.Provide inputs to Wing Scheduling/Current Operations through attendance at weekly meetings.Assist with production the weekly Flying Hour Effectiveness Report. (The Flying Effectiveness Report will be developed and produced IAW local policy and procedures and reflect accomplishment of required training events as determined by local leadership).Assist with the generation of the weekly Flying Hour Program Report. (The Flying Hour Program Report will be developed and produced IAW local policy and procedures to track hours expended to reflect accomplishment of assigned flying hours.Coordinate with local Aerial Delivery, Training, Loadmaster Schedulers to ensure appropriate training loads are assigned to each line on the schedule.
Experience as a USAF aircrew member, or; experience working in a United States Air Force (USAF) Squadron, Group, or Wing position supporting aircrew flying operations, or; experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) Squadron, Group, or Wing position supporting flying operations; experience working with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
