Job description:
- Responsible for ensuring quality assurance compliance during assigned availabilities. - Conducts unplanned events/mishap investigations on shipboard incidents and attends critiques. - Ensures compliance with contractual requirements, NAVSEA Standard Items, SERMC Local Standard Items, and Navy Instructions. - Monitors ship conditions, reviews work and test plans that affect quality assurance. - Evaluates quality of weld’s utilizing non-destructive testing (NDT) principles.- Evaluate the health of industry partners Quality Management System (QMS) by conducting audits in accordance with ISO 9001:2015.- Evaluate the health of internal SERMC processes and programs by conducting internal audits.- Review Critical Coated Preservation Records associated with ship repair.- Prepares and conducts briefings, training and/or meetings as required (i.e. Ships Force Quality Training, Availability Coordination Meetings, etc.). - Performs other related duties as assigned.
