Job description:
This internship provides experience as a Marine Service Technician to support delivery of world-class service to Brunswick's client. Technicians will assure that all motors and boat controls are functioning properly, and that engines maintain "show ready" appearance. This position is located in Lake Buena Vista on Disney property.Key Responsibilities/Training Objectives:- Review requests from Marina staff to understand and prioritize current needs - Provide on-site marine service at assigned customer location- Provide service dockside or at a maintenance facility- Provide maintenance services to Mercury products and related boat hardware to factory specifications- Work to assure boats are ready at rental, service or show times- Diagnose engine performance, rigging, controls, gauges, and boat systems using test equipment and laptop diagnostic software- Keep detailed Service reports and Work orders- Safely and properly operate equipment (i.e. trucks, tractor, forklift, trailers, boats) in order to perform boat and engine rigging, boat launching, loading and trailering, water tests, move warehouse inventory- Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner- This internship will be located at a facility that operates 7 days a week. Flexibility is required to ensure schedules support business operations. Weekend work may be required.Preferred Experience and Skills/Learned Skills from program:- Experience in customer service / interpersonal communication skills- Ability to diagnose and repair marine engines, drive, rigging, controls- Positive work attitude; motivated self-starter, integrity, professionalism, adaptable and flexibility towards change
