Summary description:
An Equine Bodywork Apprentice will be focused on preparing participants to enter the field of multi-modality Equine Bodywork in a self employed capacity or in equine therapy and rehabilitation centers. Participants will be taught anatomy, biomechanics, treatment techniques, as well as related technologies, and complete case studies in their field for full preparation to step out into the industry as a comprehensively trained body worker.
Job description:
Employee will be primarily responsible for self study materials and checkpoints (questionnaires and video practicals) on weekly educational modules. Apprentice will also be responsible for completing one weekly job shadowing day during which apprentice will provide handling and assistance to the teaching therapist, and completing one weekly self-study work day practicing hands on techniques.
Travel involved on shadowing/assisting days within one hour of Ft Worth, Texas.

Horse handling and riding experience recommended but not required. Completing an accredited trade school certification recommended to work in the state of Texas, this can be completed before, during or after apprenticeship program.
