This includes diagnosing, parts ordering, technical report writing, maintaining care of company assets, and proper communication with others.DoD SkillBridge Heavy Equipment Service Technician/Mechanic Minimum QualificationsMust be a current Active Duty ServicememberMust be separating from the Military in 8-12 monthsMust be able to complete up to a maximum of 120 days of SkillBridge internshipMust be able to complete 40 hours per weekWillingness to learn and accept developmental feedbackDoD SkillBridge Heavy Equipment Service Technician/Mechanic Physical RequirementsPushing/Pulling/Lifting/Carrying up to 100 pounds without assistancePhysical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overheadMust be able to work in extreme heat or cold and wet, damp, dusty, or windy conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes/odors associated with the shopPhysical ability to perform maintenance on equipment for extended hours with continual mounting and dismounting throughout the workdayAbility to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional conditionThis is considered a Safety-Sensitive position.

Heavy Equipment Shop Service Technician/Mechanic Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or EquivalentTwo (2) years’ experience in diagnosing and repairing construction equipmentAbility to read complex hydraulic and electrical schematicsFurnish and maintain a set of hand tools and any special tools required by companyAbility to occasionally work overtime, stay overnight, and work on weekend when neededMaintain valid driver’s license; CDL if required
