Job description:
The Welder/Fabricator trainee will participate in a structured training program focused on developing the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for employment in the welding and fabrication industry. Duties may include reading blueprints and fabrication drawings, measuring and preparing materials, operating fabrication equipment, performing MIG welding, assembling fabricated components, conducting quality inspections, maintaining a safe work environment, and assisting with field installation and repair activities. Participants will receive classroom instruction, hands-on demonstrations, and supervised on-the-job training while working on real-world fabrication projects. Upon successful completion of the program, qualified participants may be considered for full-time employment opportunities with Streamline Welding LLC.
Training is conducted primarily at Streamline Welding LLC in Tucson, Arizona. Participants will receive approximately 480 hours of structured welding and fabrication training. Qualified participants may have the opportunity to prepare for and attempt AWS D1.1 certification testing based on demonstrated skill level, readiness, testing availability, and company discretion. The program emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, employability skills, and preparation for long-term careers in welding and fabrication.
