Our training program teaches students to be independent Orthodontic Assistants. The program insures that after 6 months of on the job training the student will be prepared to take the Florida Orthodontic Expanded Functions Exam. After passing this exam, the student will become a certified Orthodontic Assistant in the State of Florida.
Job description:
The student will learn how to properly chart a medical diagnosis from an Orthodontist, will be able to sterilize instruments (learning OSHA standards in the dental field), complete different procedures chairside with an Orthodontist (change arch wires, add ligature ties, take intraoral photos and impressions, etc.). The student will also learn excellent patient care and dental software.
