Vijay Computer Academy - Cyber Security Support Technician

This program is designed to prepare individuals to enter and succeed in the Registered Cybersecurity Apprenticeship program.DURING THIS ONLINE PRE-APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM PARTICIPANT LEARNS ALL THE SKILLS REQUIRED TO WORK AS A Cybersecurity Support Technician. The VCA Pre-Apprenticeship Program will be administered by Vijay Computer Academy through a collaboration with its several community partners and employer partners. 80% attendance is required to complete the program. Students cannot drop out of the program. In any emergency or medical condition, if a student drops out of the course, the tuition for the individual modules completed must be paid as per the current tuition of those individual courses. The program must be completed by the end date. Only 30 days extension can be requested in case of emergency or unavoidable circumstances. No break is permitted during the program.

A cybersecurity support technician is responsible for safeguarding an organization's digital assets by monitoring security alerts, responding to incidents, and managing vulnerabilities. They administer and maintain security tools, educate end-users on cybersecurity best practices, and collaborate with IT teams to integrate security measures into overall processes. This role involves access control, documentation of security policies, and participation in security awareness programs. Additionally, cybersecurity support technicians conduct regular audits, report incidents to management, and stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats and trends. Their efforts contribute to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization's information systems.
