Your expertise in evaluating and recommending security practices, developing policies, and performing compliance assessments will be crucial to ensuring the safety and integrity of our data and technology systems. As an IT Security Specialist, you will work on various security and IT-related tasks, from assessing risks to performing daily IT support functions. You will play an active role in creating a secure environment by developing security policies, monitoring compliance, and suggesting improvements for our security program. You will also support the IT department with tasks like password resets, VPN troubleshooting, and other basic IT functions.

Key Responsibilities: * Assess and evaluate the adequacy of security and IT controls, providing recommendations to meet compliance frameworks and best practices.* Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and processes based on audit findings and compliance requirements.* Advise on security standards and suggest controls to improve operational effectiveness.* Perform risk and compliance assessments to create a robust security baseline.* Track and monitor non-compliance issues, ensuring timely remediation.* Conduct data analysis to address security-related problems and propose effective solutions.* Support daily IT tasks, including password resets, VPN troubleshooting, and basic system maintenance. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable concepts.* Familiarity with fundamental security/IT concepts (e.g., data classification, asset management, third-party risk).* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing good judgment in decision-making.* Technical aptitude and quick learning capabilities to adapt to new technologies.* High attention to detail, quality-oriented, and a positive attitude towards teamwork.* Reliability, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality.
