The Skillsbridge Intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on work experience in Construction Project Management within a semiconductor industry environment. Construction Project Management includes managing all aspects of an assigned project to include clarifying and documenting scope, schedule, and budget. In addition, Project Management is responsible for employing all necessary project controls to meet the project objectives and ensure team safety.
Job description:
Construction Project Management Intern is responsible for managing all aspects of an assigned project to include clarifying and documenting the scope, schedule, and budget. In addition, the Project Management Intern responsibility is to employ all necessary project controls to meet the project objectives and ensure team safety. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Safety & Quality: Ensures that the project team plans all required safety training and conducts all work in accordance with Owner and Technology Development (TD) safety policies• Ensures project team members use job hazard analysis (JHA/JSA) for work being performed• Collaborates with internal stakeholders, such as Safety, Environmental, and Legal to ensure all regulatory requirements for the projects are being met• Actively participates in the EHS program by reporting all EHS-related concerns or problems immediately (maximum 24 hours)• Performs and facilitates audits and submits good catches• Follows proper change management practices to ensure safety and quality expectations are met.• Supports engineering coordinators with facilitating design reviews to ensure project design meets manufacturer’s and company guidelines for safety and quality expectations• Ensures a robust Safety program is in place and maintained throughout the project Project Management/ Coordination/Planning:• Coordinates projects to ensure deliverables are completed within the required scope, schedule and budget• Tracks actions and provides escalation path or resources to ensure actions will be completed on time• Ensures regular communication to stakeholders of project status, roadblocks, and path to success• Clarifies and documents project scope and ensures necessary input from appropriate stakeholders• Coordinates and leads meetings and initiates follow-up actions• Follows change management procedures• Supports of develops RFQs for construction activities• Manages the project programming and development activities• Identifies, obtains and adjusts project resources as needed• Develops detailed resource loaded project schedules and tracks performance• Manages project conflicts that arise as routing, timing, or labor issues Qualifications: Excellent multi-tasking, time-management, organization and prioritization skills• Proven ability to plan, drive and complete projects effectively• Proven ability in multi-tasking complex projects• Proven skills in working effectively with team members from different disciplines• Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to coordinate efforts across a variety of groups• Demonstrated ability to organize and efficiently facilitate meetings and project teams• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills• Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented, follow complex procedures, and work with minimal supervision• Advanced PC skills including a proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)• Strong partnering, negotiation, and team-working skills with team members from different disciplines.Must be an active Service Member of the Armed Forces that is within six (6) months of separation.Must have applied to the SkillBridge program through the Department of Defense with an approval from both the Department of Defense and the Service Member's Chain of Command.Desire to learn about the semiconductor industry.
