Job description:
The Joint Oil Analysis Program (JOAP) Laboratory receives, tests and analyzes Lubricating Oils (LO) and Hydraulic fluids from a wide array of aircraft, ships, submarines, expeditionary and other land based assets throughout the Department of Defense (DoD). JOAP Norfolk directly supports the material condition and mission capable readiness of over 200 DoD components. JOAP Norfolk performs physical property testing and analysis of LO and Hydraulic Fluids to detect changes in the condition of used oils to detect unusual wear and to predict impending equipment failures.
You must be a US Citizen, be able to gain a Security Clearance, pass a background check, and potentially pass a drug screening. This position is on location in Portsmouth, VA.
