This is a 6 month internship training program that covers the fundamental systems that comprise a multi-family dwelling including electrical, plumbing, framing, etc. Interns will learn practical maintenance and home improvement skills for those interested in the skilled trades.
Job description:
Program Objectives:1. The course will provide a thorough review of all maintenance technician duties2. Attendance and participation in the program will provide the intern an opportunity to learn the multi-family housing skills and ability to apply them in their next role3. By the end of the program, the intern will have successfully completed the required on the job trainingDaily Tasks:1. Shadow work orders2. Attend Safety briefs3. Complete COMS and preventative maintenance inspections4. Warehouse overview5. Customer service training6. Team buildingAssignments & Participation:1. Reading and homework for the day's tasks must be completed prior to the next day. The intern must come to work prepared. Notes should be taken.2. Interns may be called upon at various times of the day to offer their findings or suggestions.
