Explore the mapThe M-2-LE Program is a partnership between any approved and employing law enforcement agency (Police or Sheriff) located in Kentucky, our law enforcement training academy and DOD SkillBridge. An active-duty applicant will locate a hiring Kentucky law enforcement agency on the SkillBridge website, request an interview with the agency, and if chosen as a future law enforcement employee of the agency will be scheduled for basic training that will coincide with their military active-duty separation date.
Upon successful graduation of the Department of Criminal Justice Basic Academy, and separation from active-duty military, you will be immediately employed as a certified Kentucky Peace Officer as pre-arranged by your hiring agency. You will be required stay employed with your original hiring law enforcement agency for no less than 5-years.
