Amentum is actively seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with experience in industrial facility and plant design. The position is located in the Englewood, CO office. The Sr. Engineer is responsible for a variety of engineering and design tasks in the initial planning through final design for projects of advanced complexity under the minimal supervision of a Supervising Electrical Engineer. The Engineer interacts with other disciplines, project support groups, vendors and client representatives as appropriate on assigned projects and is responsible for initiating and developing engineering calculations, studies and drawings through completion in conformance with the requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria established by the project.

Key Responsibilities• Perform a range of design development, analysis, or review tasks independently.• Responsible for complete designs, analyses, or design reviews independently or as the team leader.• May lead engineering teams and act as a mentor to engineering team members.• May train other engineers on technical issues related to the research, design, development, testing and analysis of engineering assignments.• Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.• Direct interface and liaison with internal and external customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.• Conduct site visits and experimental investigations and analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations.• Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.• Prepare engineering studies.• Support development of technical proposal and provide comments on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work.• May provide technical management and leadership to a group of employees for a given project, contract or job with overall responsibility for cost, schedule technical and employee performance

Minimum Requirements:• Must have obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a 4 year ABET accredited college or university.• 12+ years of relevant experience with bachelor's degree• Experience in power system analysis, including load flow, voltage drop, short circuit, harmonic, arc flash and relay coordination studies.• Experience in SKM, ETAP or other Power System Analysis software.• Experience with electrical one line diagrams, schematics and wiring diagrams.• Experience in sizing and specifying electrical equipment.• Advanced level of understanding of power system analysis, lighting, power & control, grounding, lightning protection, communications and security systems.• Proficient in 2D AutoCAD, Revit and/or MicroStation.• Excellent oral communication and technical writing skills.• Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen and US Dual Citizenship may be considered.• Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.• Position may require travel.
