Job description:
Module 1: Delivery Operations (6 weeks)- Week 1 (40 hours): Trainees will receive instruction on the proper use of electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, and Cool-Lift delivery equipment. This week will also cover training on proper rotation procedures and adherence to manufacturer standards.- Week 2 (40 hours): Trainees will gain exposure to various delivery route types, including grocery, convenience, and restaurant routes.- Week 3-6 (40 hours per week): Trainees will engage in in-depth on-the-job training with a focus on one specific route per week. This hands-on experience will provide insights into customer interactions, team dynamics, and collaboration with account managers. Module 2: Warehouse Operations (4 Weeks)- Week 1 (40 hours): Trainees will undergo order fulfillment training, focusing on building orders, proper equipment usage, and loading trucks for safe and efficient delivery.- Week 2 (40 hours): Trainees will experience 1st shift warehouse operations, including inbound delivery, proper FIFO storage, movement of products, and restocking of the order fulfillment area to prepare for the 2nd shift.- Week 3-4 (40 hours per week): Trainees will immerse themselves in warehouse job experiences during their chosen shift. Module 3: Account Service and Merchandising (6 weeks)- Week 1 (40 hours): Trainees will receive training from the Merchandising Department leader on the proper use of equipment, standards, and procedures.- Week 2-6 (40 hours per week): Trainees will engage in on-the-job training and gain experience running merchandiser routes under the supervision of the Department Manager and individual Account Managers. Module 4: Account Management (6 weeks)- Week 1-2 (40 hours per week): Trainees will focus on developing effective verbal communication skills.- Week 3-4 (40 hours per week): Trainees will shift their focus to written communication and business correspondence. Module 5: Purchasing, Pricing, and Brand Management (2 weeks)- Week 1 (40 hours): Trainees will undergo key account management training with the company Sales Manager. This will include exposure to resetting accounts, identifying and utilizing Point of Sale materials, and executing survey design and implementation.- Week 2 (40 hours): Trainees will receive brand management training, covering pricing, promotions, purchasing, and the completion of the Cicerone Program.
Trainees should have access to reliable transportation and be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
