Train to become a dive professional at Red Alert Diving! Program length will be determined by the applicant's current certification level, but no previous dive experience is required to begin. As a PADI 5-star Instructor Development Center, we train divers from entry level up to Divemaster, with the opportunity to continue on to Open Water Scuba Instructor and beyond.
Job description:
Candidates will learn the skills associated with divemaster and scuba instructor duties and will have the training necessary to become dive professionals by the completion of the program, with additional on the job training in dive center and dive boat operations.Specific responsibilities include:- Conduct PADI courses and training sessions for divers of all levels, from beginners to advanced.- Deliver knowledge development sessions, confined water training, and open water dives.- Ensure adherence to PADI standards and safety protocols during all training activities.- Provide exceptional customer service to create a positive and memorable experience for divers.- Address divers questions, concerns, and provide assistance in a friendly and professional manner.- Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of dive equipment and facilities.- Oversee equipment rental, maintenance, and inventory control.- Prioritize diver safety at all times and enforce safety guidelines during training.- Be prepared to respond effectively to any emergency situations that may arise.- Promote responsible diving practices and environmental awareness.- Educate divers about marine conservation and minimizing impact on aquatic ecosystems.- Keep accurate records of diver training, certifications, and paperwork.- Assist with scheduling courses, managing reservations, and maintaining databases.- Stay up-to-date with the latest PADI standards, trends, and industry developments.
Program cost is for PADI Divemaster Crewpack, which contains required materials purchased directly from the Professional Association of Diving Instructors for use while in-training to become a PADI Professional. These vital resources will continue to be used throughout the participants career as a Divemaster, Scuba Instructor, and Emergency First Response Instructor. They include the PADI Instructor Manual, lesson plans for in-water training (reusable waterproof slates), divemaster-conducted program slates, CPR and First Aid teaching guides, as well as access to the entire digital library of PADI Professional materials. These materials are provided at-cost for our Skillbridge Participants, saving them thousands of dollars on the essential materials they will use as they embark on their new career in scuba diving. If the associated cost is too high, we can make other arrangements with participants on a case-by-case basis.

Participants must be medically cleared by their physician prior to beginning dive training. Participants must be available to train/work approximately 30-40 hours/week during the program.
