Week 1–2: Introduction and Basics• Orientation & Company Overview: Welcome sessions, company mission/vision, facility tour, team introductions.• Operations Overview: Processes, workflows, order processing, shipping, WMS introduction.• Inventory Management: Techniques, tracking/reporting, stock replenishment, cycle counting.• Warehouse Optimization: Layout best practices, material handling equipment, workflow efficiency.Week 3-4: Safety and Compliance• Workplace Safety: OSHA standards, emergency procedures, safe work environment.• Regulatory Compliance: Employment laws, policy implementation, compliance training.• Ethics in Operations: Ethical decision-making, promoting integrity.• Safety Audits: Conducting inspections, hazard mitigation, corrective actions.Week 5-7: Team Leadership and Management• Hands on training in all areas of the FC including IB, Manual Rack, Auto Store, VAS and Shipping. 3 days per functional area.• Communication & Conflict Resolution: Effective communication, conflict management, fostering open dialogue.• Performance Management: Appraisals, SMART goals, feedback techniques.• Employee Engagement: Engagement drivers, strategy design, survey analysis.Week 8-9: Process Optimization and Efficiency• Lean & Six Sigma: Principles, methodologies, process improvement projects.• Workflow Optimization: Bottleneck analysis, continuous improvement strategies.• Technology in Operations: Automation tools, system training, tech impact evaluation.• Advanced Inventory Management: Accuracy techniques, control best practices.Week 10-12: Practical Application and Review• Case Studies & Projects: Real-world scenarios, capstone project, presentations.• Review & Certification: Comprehensive review, feedback sessions, final assessment, certification ceremony.
Job description:
The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for leading and managing a department team in a new 3 shift/7 day a week fulfillment center in North Las Vegas. The Supervisor will set clear expectations and motivate associates to meet or exceed business goals with collaboration of managers on all shifts and functional partners in transportation, workflow, and customer service. The Supervisor will also play a key role in the launch of the facility by developing, implementing, and maintaining activities related to production, safety, quality, continuous improvement, people & culture, customer service, and business goals.
