Under direct supervision, may assist the Veterinarian Technician with laboratory examinations such as urinalysis, drawing blood and fecal examinations. As directed, prepares examinations rooms by sterilizing surgical equipment forprocedures done by Veterinarian. Reviews animal charts to ensure prescribed medication and dietary nutritional orders from Veterinarian are being properly administered. Reviews animals vitals and records on chart. Assists Veterinarianand Veterinarian Technician in performing surgical procedures such as spaying and neutering and non-surgical procedures such as euthanasia. May oversee inventory of supplies and submits order to supervision when needed. Utilizes current county-wide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.
