Summary description:
Objective:The objective of the proposed SkillBridge Project Manager Internship opportunity is to provide project management training to individuals separating from the military.Terms & Conditions:Premier Technology, Inc's terms, and conditions for the proposed SkillBridge program will require the selected intern to successfully and competently complete the training outlined in the attached Weekly Training Plan. Roles & Responsibilities – Supervisor:• Provide mentorship and guidance to project management intern.• Assign intern to specific fabrication projects and oversee their involvement and contributions.• Coordinate intern workloads to ensure a balanced and meaningful learning experience.• Assess intern progress toward achieving their learning goals and objectives.• Ensure that project manager intern deliverables are consistent with Premier’s company standards.• Assist intern in resolving project related challenges and issues.• Ensure that intern understand and implement quality control processes for projects.• Provide guidance on cost control and identifying cost-saving opportunities.• Promote a collaborative and supportive team environment.Roles and Responsibilities – Intern Participant:• Be a dependable employee, being punctual and have good attendance.• Exhibit and develop good communication skills.• Show initiative in keeping the work flowing on schedule.• Take detailed notes on document training to assist in completing work independently.• Actively participate in assigned tasks and assist supervisor/mentor.• Quickly learn the company Standard Operating Procedures and cultural environment.• Ask questions.Instructional Model:• Hands on demonstrationMentorship Qualifications:• The SkillBridge Mentor qualifications are based on a minimum of three years of successful experience as a Project Manager for Premier Technology, Inc.Evaluation Assessment:• The SkillBridge Project Manager Internship assessment evaluation will be the same evaluation scale Premier Technology, Inc. managers currently use for employee evaluations. Each task will be ranked on a scale of 1-4: 1-poor, 2-Capable/Average, 3-Better than Average, and 4-Exceptional.Training Outcome:• The outcome of a successful SkillBridge training plan will be full time employment with Premier Technology, Inc.
Job description:
Primary Function:Work with Business Unit Managers to independently manage small scale projects and support upper-level project managers with large scale projects. Assist with sales support and accurately estimate projects as needed. Work with managers to plan and execute projects within the constraints of budget, schedule, and quality requirements.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:· Read and understand contracts, drawings, and specifications. Attention to detail to ensure that requirements are implemented into the project as required.· Create and maintain a project plan including a clear and accurate schedule, inspection and test plan, etc. for small scale projects.· Work with manufacturing leads to generate work plans.· Assist with other large scale projects, as required.· Coordinate with internal departments and subcontractors to ensure that the project scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements are understood, followed, and completed.· Continuously monitor and report project progress and work with stakeholders to ensure that budgets and schedules are met.· Communicate progress to the customer, internal stakeholders, and management.· Accurately generate requests for quotes and purchases of raw materials and subcontract work.· Assist with preparing proposals to submit to customers, as needed.· Manage relationships with customers to maximize long term value.· Regular and predictable attendance. Ability to become proficient with other software is mandatory.Must be able to read and understand blueprints. Must be able to understand and manage budgets.
