Code 500 ensures projects have 100% of material available at the point and place of need to facilitate nonstop execution of the mechanic to enable on-time delivery of ships and submarines back into the fleet. There are 5 divisions within Code 500: C510 – Compliance & Strategic Analysis, C520 – Material Sourcing & Project Material Management, C530 – Job Readiness Cell & Project Support, C540 Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) – Naval Maritime (NM) – Material Procurement and Expediting and C550 Inventory Storage & Distribution.Length of training: 120-180 days (5 days a week, 8 hours per day)
Job description:
Upon completion of Week 9 of the training plan, the Supply Department Training Coordinator will determine the best location within the Department to complete the remaining authorized time performing OJT.
Potential GS-7 to GS-11 depending on qualifications
