Summary description:
Our SkillBridge on-the-job training program offers a comprehensive, structured approach to prepare participants for mission-critical civilian roles within TSUB. It combines formal training, covering onboarding, orientation, workplace skills, leadership fundamentals, and role-specific technical skills, with engagement opportunities such as mentoring, milestone check-ins, peer cohort support, job shadowing, and cross-group exposure. This multifaceted plan emphasizes professional conduct, communication, ethics, and emotional intelligence while fostering career development through hands-on experiences and networking. We will conduct continuous evaluation through participant and mentor surveys to ensure program quality and effectiveness.
Job description:
General Engineering Support personnel support the design, development, and maintenance of the VIRGINIA CLASS submarine. They provide technical advisement on engineering trade-offs and execution, while supporting program management activities such as data analysis, reporting, process improvement, and documentation. Responsibilities may also include procurement assistance, logistics coordination, and overall project support. Successful candidates demonstrate strong teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills which support effective collaboration across diverse technical and operational functions.
