By leveraging the intern's experience and CURIS System’s training, a career with the company could begin as soon as the intern departs active duty. Applicant will receive the following credentials during this program: OSHA 10-hour General Industry, OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens for General Industry.
Job description:
The Biodecontamination Specialist role is responsible for the safe and efficacious application of CURIS System technology to provide biological decontamination services to customers in industries ranging from healthcare to pharmaceutical manufacturing. The Specialist will be tasked with duties ranging from performing on-site decontamination services throughout the United States and internationally, conducting equipment maintenance both at the corporate office and in-field, inventory management, and overseeing packing of required gear prior to departure for services. This position is based in Oviedo, FL and, once hired, will require travel approximately 40% of the time. Skillbridge interns will not be expected to travel overnight, however same-day or local travel with a Lead Technician may arise following Week 7 and will provide valuable learning outcomes
- Advanced training and experience involving chemical and/or biological agents will be highly considered. CBRN or NBC-related MOS’ are preferred, but not required. - Must be able and willing to comply with a variety of PPE requirements, typically involving gloves, lab coat, and eye protection, but up to and including Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) as needed.

Highly qualified applicants will have leadership experience operating in decentralized environments, demonstrate at least a basic grasp of fluid dynamics and behavior, and be able to apply creative, simple, and rapid solutions to unexpected challenges. Strong problem-solving skills will be paramount to adapting to a variety of facility layouts and protocols, in addition to troubleshooting equipment in the field. The ability to work and think independently is crucial, as most of the skills gained in this internship will be used during on-site decontamination services involving travel away from the corporate office.
