Job description:
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: Once selected to join our team, you will:Operate vacuum trucks and related tools and equipment, including jackhammers, pogo-tampers, concrete saws, compressor blowers, vacuum hoses, air lances, and hand tools. Drive commercial motor vehicles as needed for work assignments. Complete paperwork accurately, including record-keeping and basic mathematics. Perform daily basic maintenance on vehicles. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of vehicles, work sites, and equipment. Set up maintenance of traffic as directed. Make basic field measurements. Perform simple geophysical prospecting as instructed. Handle other duties and projects as assigned. KEY QUALIFICATIONS:KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of operating specialized equipment related to subsurface utility engineering. Understanding of safety compliance and regulations. Familiarity with record-keeping and basic mathematics. SKILLS: Proficiency in operating vacuum trucks and related tools/equipment. Ability to drive commercial motor vehicles.Competence in completing paperwork and basic maintenance tasks. Skill in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness. Capability to set up maintenance of traffic and make field measurements. Aptitude for performing simple geophysical prospecting.EXPERIENCE: Experience in vacuum excavation tasks and supporting overall crew activities related to subsurface utility engineering is preferred.EDUCATION: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional training or certification related to the field is beneficial.
