Summary description:
SCWF seeks a dynamic self-starter to assist with our education programs. This short-term position is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in various aspects of education program management, and habitat conservation work while working for a community-based non-profit organization. Most work will be done at our downtown Columbia headquarters, with potential for some remote work. Position will require occasional travel with personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed at national POV rate).

Responsibilities: Provide administrative support for education/outreach programs including logistics, organization, marketing, registrations, volunteers, and customer service - some of the programs the applicant will assist with include: Plishing, Palmetto Outdoor Women’s Retreat (POWR), Habitat programs, Photo Contest and moreAttend education classes and programs to assist instructor, and also to learn presentation skills and interpretive stylesLearn program information and study existing slideshow presentations to be able to present to groupsManage annual Photo Contest, communicating with participants and logging entriesRepresent SCWF at outreach and educational events and partner meetings (when available)Build appropriate interpersonal relationships with employees, peers, and donorsSupport all staff in clerical tasks and errands as requested
