Work as a Forestry Technician with the Bighorn National Forest. Technicians support critical program work in the field, conducting monitoring and reporting of field conditions to support overall resource management.
Job description:
Forestry Technicians will gain a fundamental understanding of the interdisciplinary process for resource management with the Forest Service. The Forest Service will train individuals in base program work, core safety practices, and program specific protocols. Individuals will have opportunities to support the aquatics and watershed program, the timber and vegetation management programs, wildlife programs, range and invasive plant management programs, and recreation management. Availability from May-October required. No internships currently available outside of these dates.
Candidates will have options at three duty stations: Buffalo, Greybull, and Sheridan Wyoming. Individual will be responsible for paying for housing.
