Vanderbilt University SkillBridge Program is designed to enhance the skills, training, knowledge, and experience of transitioning Service Members, assisting them in their goals of securing employment post their military service. This 12-week Fellowship program will be led by industry experts teaching, coaching, and training participants in the practical application of skill learned during the program. Fellows will be exposed to employee training and career development as they work under close supervision of Vanderbilt University staff. Service Members will additionally benefit from Health and Wellness classes, guest speakers, guided work study curated for transitioning Service members, and networking events with potential employers within the university, as well as opportunities to meet external employers to ensure a successful transition into the civilian sector career of choice.
Job description:
SkillBridge positions may change depending on availability. New positions will be added depending on demand. The program will center around creating an environment for transitioning Service Members to learn and train with industry professionals in the fields of Human Resources, Cyber and Information Technology, Culinary Arts and Dining Management, Building Maintenance Technician, and Public Safety.
