Job description:
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on fleet and heavy equipment • Assist with diagnostics and repair of hydraulic, brake, and electrical systems • Support shop operations, work order completion, and maintenance documentation • Follow company safety standards and participate in safety programs • Work alongside experienced mechanics and supervisors to develop technical skills This is a hands-on training opportunity designed to prepare participants for full-time employment in diesel and fleet maintenance roles.
Placement location will be determined based on business needs and candidate preference, with opportunities available in both Ohio and Indiana.This is a structured, hands-on training opportunity designed to transition service members into full-time roles within CST Utilities.Participants should expect to work in an active construction environment, including outdoor conditions and physically demanding tasks. Work schedules may vary based on project needs.CST Utilities is committed to developing participants through real-world experience, mentorship, and performance-based evaluation, with the goal of long-term employment upon successful completion.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in equipment maintenance • Willingness to work in a hands-on shop and field environment • Ability to follow safety procedures and operational standards • Positive attitude and willingness to learn CDL eligibility or willingness to obtain is a plus but not required.
