Job description:
The Instructional Aide supports classroom instruction and school operations in an alternative high school serving at-risk youth. Working under the direction of highly qualified teachers and school administrators, the aide plays a key role in supporting special education compliance, preparing instructional materials, assisting with grading, and reinforcing classroom management strategies. Additional responsibilities include front desk support - such as handling attendance, assisting with daily communication, and opportunities to co-facilitate or lead elective class under teacher supervision. This hands-on role offers meaningful engagement with students who face academic, behavioral, or socio-emotional challenges, contributing to a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
