The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standards of repair and tune-up work for bikes and skis brought in for service, maintain safety and quality for all equipment, and contribute to the overall satisfaction and trust of our customers.Key Responsibilities:Repair and Tune-Up Work:Perform thorough repairs and maintenance on bikes and skis, including tune-ups, adjustments, and part replacements.Troubleshoot and assess equipment issues to identify and resolve problems efficiently.Customer Satisfaction and Safety:Inspect equipment for potential future issues that could impact customer satisfaction or safety.Proactively communicate findings and recommendations to customers to ensure informed decisions.Equipment Assembly:Build and assemble new bikes to manufacturer specifications.Mount and adjust ski bindings for new equipment purchases.Rental and Lease Preparation:Prepare bikes and skis for rental or lease, ensuring all equipment is in excellent working condition.Conduct thorough safety checks on all rental equipment, including ski bindings and bike components.Customer Communication:Work with the Service Writer to clearly communicate the status of repairs and provide accurate timelines.Explain repair work and recommendations to customers in a clear and professional manner.Collaboration and Reporting:Collaborate with the Service Manager to ensure timely and high-quality workmanship for all services.Maintain accurate records of completed repairs and ongoing service jobs.Qualifications:Proven experience as a bike and/or ski mechanic, with expertise in troubleshooting and repairing a variety of equipment.Strong understanding of bike components, ski binding systems, and tuning techniques.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and customer service skills.Familiarity with safety standards and best practices for bike and ski equipment.Team-oriented mindset and ability to work collaboratively.Reports to: Service ManagerCore Competencies:Commitment to delivering exceptional service and quality.Attention to detail to ensure customer safety and satisfaction.Technical aptitude for diagnosing and resolving equipment issues.Effective communication with both team members and customers.Ridgeline Bike and Ski is committed to providing outstanding service to our community.
