DreamHome Remodeling offers a 12-week, full-time, in-person SkillBridge On-the-Job Training program for transitioning service members interested in residential remodeling and consultative sales. Participants complete two weeks of intensive classroom, product, business-system, and sales-process training followed by ten weeks of supported field experience, scheduled homeowner consultations, weekly training, appointment reviews, and individual coaching. Successful participants may be considered for full-time employment after completing military service.
Job description:
Participants will train to become Residential Remodeling Sales Consultants serving homeowners throughout Northern Virginia and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Training includes roofing, siding, windows, doors, gutters, insulation, product specifications, warranties, customer-needs assessments, property documentation, estimating, financing, CRM use, contracts, consultative presentations, objection handling, customer follow-up, and ethical sales practices.After completing the initial two-week training and required competency assessments, participants will begin attending and conducting scheduled homeowner consultations with continued manager support, weekly instruction, appointment reviews, role-playing, and individual coaching.No previous remodeling or sales experience is required. Participants must have strong communication skills, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to travel to scheduled customer appointments. Participants must be eligible for SkillBridge and receive command approval before beginning the program.
There are no tuition, application, registration, equipment, or certification costs associated with this training program. Participants remain responsible for ordinary commuting and personal transportation expenses.

Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy, Space Force
Must be eligible for SkillBridge participation and receive command approval. A valid driver’s license, reliable personal transportation, professional communication skills, basic computer and mobile-device proficiency, and the ability to travel to scheduled customer appointments are required. No previous sales or construction experience is required.
