The vision and overall goal of this internship is to provide service members with the traits and skills needed to be successful within the construction and restoration industry. As a construction project manager intern, service members will assist in the day-to-day Project Management activities to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget. Typical responsibilities including managing submittals and RFIs, tracking procurement and change order documentation and assisting in project close out. Service members will also work as a field intern, working alongside a seasoned Superintendent on one of our local job sites. As a field intern, service members will manage daily reports, assist in monitoring and enforcing site safety protocol and coordinate punch list activities. Duties also include working with subcontractors to ensure pricing and coverage of current projects. The opportunity to also assist in scope writing on a variety of trades and attend bid reviews with our internal partners is available.Kingship Restoration Services also provides water, fire, and mold mitigation services which will allow the service member to obtain a wide array of skills highly sought after in the industry. Certifications within the restoration industry will be available allowing service members to understand all parts of the mitigation, restoration, and construction process. Service members will have the opportunity to understand the responsibilities and roles of mitigation technicians by having hands on training with our mitigation and restoration department

PROJECT MANAGER INTERNSHIPThe internship position will be responsible for assisting various departments with daily tasks as well as learning the overall elements of the general contracting/construction industry. The internship will last up to 180 days based on the availability of the service member. A range of activities that an intern may experience include:-Observing and/or interacting with various professional related to the construction field including owners, architects, subcontractors and vendors-Attending staff and departmental meetings on an ongoing basis and an appropiate management or coordination meeting- Completing, updating and distributing project management communications of various types such as purchase orders, safety inspections, material and labor logs, inventory and meeting minutes. -Assisting with the overall project management responsibilities including, account management, billing, scheduling, estimating, budgeting and coordination of subcontractors and vendors.-Assist in warranty and maintenance calls-Assist estimators on various aspects of the bid process. Learn how to gather all the necessary information for a project and compile a bid under the direction of the Superintendent.
