The Entry-Level Construction Worker will undergo a comprehensive 6-month training program covering a broad spectrum of skills essential to the construction industry. This program is designed to provide hands-on experience in field tasks, an understanding of project management principles, exposure to superintendence roles, and proficiency in estimating.
Job description:
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements• Layout, Build, install, and repair walls, floors, roofs, doors, and other structures and fixtures as required• Measure and cut materials using hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and hammers• Operate construction equipment• Install and finish drywall and other materials to create a smooth and even surface• Install and repair insulation, vapor barriers, and weatherproofing materials as required• Work with other tradespeople, including electricians, HVAC, and plumbers, to ensure that all work is completed on schedule and to a high standard• Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and ensure that all work is completed safely and efficiently• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and report any faults or issues to the supervisor• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or project manager
Perform general construction work at secured government facility
