Mattress Clearance Center of Bloomington/Normal is looking for a committed Assistant Manager excited about helping grow our local and national presence. We are not your average retail mattress store. Our focus in on the wellness aspect of sleep. We are able to offer an excellent product because we have a national network where, we purchase 100% American made mattresses in bulk at a discounted rate and then are able to sell them at 60-80% off the big retail pricing. Additionally, we keep prices low by our “by appointment only system”. When a customer wants a mattress, they set up an appointment and we give them our full attention. We also only come into the store when we have appointments; this saves on overhead costs. Mattress Clearance Centers are across the United States, and more are opening all the time. The opportunity for growth is happening exponentially with our wellness-based system and excellent product. The MATTRESS CENTER Management Team plays a critical role in ensuring that our customers are satisfied and given a product them helps them alleviate all the problems that come with bad sleep. The Assistant Manager role is an entry level role that is critical for our national organization’s growth and our ability to shape the retail world in an ever more competitive market. The Mattress Center is looking for a passionate entry level individual to help with the local store’s growth and the nationwide network of stores. We are looking for a critical thinker to help our system dominate the mattress market. They should have an easy-going manner and be willing to learn about the importance of sleep, the benefits of having a mattress that aides in overall health, customer service, and marketing, accounting and all elements of being a small business owner. The successful candidate will need to build strong relationships with our owners and management teams as well as customers and prospective customers. They must understand how important a mattress is in an individual’s overall health. The successful candidate will have successfully completed a workforce development program like DoD, SkillBridge, and have experience in working with the public. No experience in this field is necessary, however the right person will need to have a steep learning curve to learn and take on new tasks/roles. A willingness to travel to other stores for learning purposes and assisting them in developing this model may be necessary. We require a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and an excellent driving history.
