The program will run approximately 2-3 months. Learning will be measured through goal mapping with the candidate’s direct supervisor and completion of the leadership professional development series. The Position will enable the candidate to see all the verticals of a startup business: government relations, go-to-market strategies, business risk management, national capital region influencers, and CFO/budgeting decision-making.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━SUMMARY━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Xiphos Solutions LLC is seeking a Chief of Staff to join our Washington, DC office. This is a high-impact position, supporting our business operations, client success, and business development teams to discover and deliver mission-critical work across the U.S. Department of War and Intelligence Community (IC). The Chief of Staff will bring operational rigor to running the business and supporting growth and transformation initiatives in a fast-moving, team-based environment. This role will manage key aspects of the business, drive internal and external cross-functional coordination, and communicate and execute critical business initiatives across the team. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, detail-oriented professional who is interested in national security and comfortable operating in a fast-moving, team-based environment. Responsibilities.━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━RESPONSIBILITIES━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ - Research assigned topics and develop materials in support of client interactions.- Act as a liaison and coordinator across cross-functional projects to ensure that all initiatives align with broader firm goals. -Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate complex cross-program risks and dependencies that span multiple teams, ensuring clear communication of impact and resolution paths.- Develop detailed program plans, including scope, schedule, and budget, to drive accountability for timely and high-quality execution. - Strategic Planning & Executive Support: Manage rhythm of business, executive communications, and key global initiatives- Must be able to understand specific and implied tasks, conduct independent research on cross-functional topics, develop materials for internal use, and identify and communicate issues and potential solutions.- Assist with business development opportunities, including identification of potential clients and market research and analysis.- Develop and maintain a professional network within the national and international security ecosystem.- Perform other professionally appropriate assigned tasks as required.- Contribute in a meaningful, substantive way to national security.━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━- At least 10 years of relevant work experience.- Knowledge of and passion for national security.- Willingness to continuously learn and push outside of one’s comfort zone.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Teams, and PowerPoint).- Positive, professional attitude with a willingness to work hard and do the little things that make organizations successful.- Be a team player. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━- Work in military, government, public policy, consulting, emerging technology, marketing, or communications, or other relevant national security experience is a plus.- Master’s Degree in international relations, political science, sociology, business, finance, marketing, or related fields.━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━SALARY & BENEFITS━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━- Competitive salary commensurate with experience- Annual discretionary bonus- 401K with 5% company match (starting immediately)- 21 days paid time off per calendar year- Two company-wide Wellness Weeks of pre-determined paid time off annually, dedicated to rest and well-being.- Hybrid work schedule - 3 days in office, 2 days remote/week
