Guided by ASME PCC-1-2022, this 40-hour course will cover processes related to bolted flange joints, emphasizing the bolted flange joint working as a system. The course will include flange assembly, basic inspection, disassembly, and tightening methods. The information will include component identification, standard tools, and various safety-related operations topics. The individual can be employed with any contractor that performs bolting operations in industrial settings and facilities such as refineries, power plants, chemical plants, steel mills and shipyards.
    Job description:
    The Technical Bolting Technician is responsible for executing technical bolting and joint integrity services in accordance with approve site and company procedures.Performs technical bolting services on client work sites performing any of any of the following duties:- P&ID review and equipment identification- Torque with clicker wrenches- Torque with hydraulic torque wrenches- Stud tensioning- Bolt measuring (ultrasonic)- Hydraulic nut splitting- Bolt calculations of pre-load- Joint integrity reporting- Visual positive material identification on bolted flange - Flange Identification and damage mechanisms- Joint Criticality Assessment
