Job description:
Supply Technicians (Medical) work in the Medical Supply Distribution areas of Supply Chain Management within the VAHealth Care System. As a Supply Technician, you will provide wards, clinics, operating rooms, secondary storage locations,and other hospital facilities with supplies and material including, but not limited to, sterile and non-sterile medical supplies,instrument sets and equipment. Inventory Management Specialists (EX and NX) serve as a Property Manager in the Material Management Division or Inventory Manager in the Commodities Division of the Logistics Service in the VA Health Care System responsible for the inventory and lifecycle management of all expendable supplies (EX) and non expendable (NX) equipmentin the assigned area(s). Purchasing Agents serve in the Acquisition Section of Supply Chain Management within the VA Health Care System providing purchasing support for all classes of supply purchased by the Healthcare System.
