Job description:
As a Calibration Specialist intern, members will gain hands-on experience learning to fine-tune engine control systems, transmission settings, and electronic components to optimize vehicle performance, balancing power, efficiency, and reliability. Responsibilities include analyzing vehicle data using diagnostic tools, developing and implementing custom calibration solutions, adjusting fuel maps, ignition timing, boost control, and emissions parameters, and testing calibrations on dynamometers and in real-world conditions. This role ensures compliance with emissions and motorsport regulations while researching and integrating new tuning technologies. Additionally, Calibration Specialists troubleshoot performance issues to meet customer expectations and enhance overall vehicle functionality. As an intern, members will spend most of their time with hands-on learning and application of processes and procedures. The other time will be spent on technical training via on-line courses and one-on-one instruction. (Roughly 80% hands-on learning, 20% book learning).
