We have multiple different areas of training which would be beneficial to a retiring or separating member of the military wishing to gain more experience in the civilian sector. We can provide guidance and training in areas which include management, human resources, customer service, sales, supply and inventory using QuickBooks and Microsoft products, and basic and advanced mini truck maintenance. Depending on the area the candidate wishes to focus on, he or she can obtain training in the Japanese mini trucks we are associated with. Of note, any skill taught and learned on a Japanese mini truck is easily transferrable to most gas engine driven vehicle. This training can help to enhance any applicant’s knowledge on customer service, sales, or even possibly help them to gain certification with technician knowledge and skills, ultimately becoming a certified master technician if they choose. The candidate can also choose multiple areas of interest and rotate within the business to gain a broader scope of training and knowledge from our business.

• General Sales: (Parts, Trucks) General sales and phone etiquette. Be able to identify basic parts. Some product knowledge is required or will be taught during the program. • General Mechanic: General mechanic knowledge and basic part recognition. Required to have basic welding skills and to operate a forklift and manual transmission. Welding and forklift operation can be taught by a certified or licensed team member if needed during the SkillBridge program.• Inventory Control: Maintain stock of inventory in house, place orders overseas with suppliers, and organize the logistics and inventory stock. QuickBooks is the main tool used for inventory control and will be given hands on tutorials at the beginning of SkillBridge training if needed.• Salvage Yard Procurement: Procures parts from the salvage yard, disassemble salvage units, organize used parts.• Warehouse Team: Organize, label, and restock all parts in the warehouse using QuickBooks once comfortable with the software.• Machine Shop: Rebuild engines, resurface heads, boring blocks, polishing cranks, and other necessary engine rebuild requirements. **Note – SkillBridge applicants will not be able to touch or operate any machinery until a complete mastery of the equipment has been met with safety as the number one priority. Not all SkillBridge applicants will be placed in the machine shop without demonstrating competence and desire to excel in this field. All SkillBridge applicants will be properly supervised for the entire duration of SkillBridge regardless of mastery.• Quality Assurance: General “behind the scenes” work needed to make a successful business run smoothly. This could range from assisting each department to working independently solving minor issues to transporting products between locations within G&R Imports. This necessary work will help each department become safer and more efficient and provide the SkillBridge applicant with a holistic view of the entire business.
