The SkillBridge intern, trained as a Chemical, Biological, and Radiological (CBR) Technician, will direct, plan, and execute all Navy Chemical Detection tasks across various programs and sponsors, including Operational Test agencies, Operational Navy (OPNAV) users, the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) CBR Defense Technical Warrant Holder, project engineers, and contractors. Additionally, the intern will serve as the Navy program representative for chemical warfare detection programs to the Joint Program Executive Office-CBD, providing Navy-specific operational expertise to the joint development team, developing Navy-specific test plans, and participating in joint working groups and test events.
Job description:
o The SkillBridge intern will: Demonstrate in-depth and comprehensive knowledge of CBR shipboard systems installed on Navy ships. Apply extensive knowledge of CBR systems and mastery of shipboard CBR support requirements for the Navy, including expertise in associated planning, budgeting, and budget analysis. Utilize expertise in Navy Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear tactics, techniques, and procedures to provide fleet metric and trend analysis reports to stakeholders, including shipboard executive leadership, OPNAV, US Fleet Forces Command, and NAVSEA. Collaborate with other services in the development of next-generation chemical detectors. Translate innovative thinking into practical solutions for technical problems, demonstrating adaptability to changing technologies, mission requirements, and priorities. Utilize analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving techniques to perform administrative acquisition work. Apply planning and coordination skills to individual assignments in order to meet project goals.
